I AM Impact: Our Story
Delivering a powerful personal, professional and organisational ‘Impact’
The business name was developed after a conversation between Steve and his wife Bev. As a former soldier Steve has always kept close with veterans affairs and has been inspired over the years in the way that the public have become more and more involved and supportive of our servicemen and veterans and raised their profile and status within our communities.
Of particular note is the super charged power of Help for Heroes and the Invictus Games. This is not to reduce the contribution of everyone engaged in supporting our services, but more to highlight what a profound effect these charities have had in raising funds and making a significant impact.
The Invictus games have demonstrated the power of sport as a vehicle for hope, purpose and renewal that has helped many of our injured servicemen and women to not only survive but thrive in spite of life changing events, injuries and challenges. To see their energy, commitment and positivity is humbling and truly enshrines the words from ‘Invictus by William Ernest Honley.
Steve's life, business and coaching philosophy is based primarily on the power that our thoughts have on our performance and that if we can dream it, believe it and put all of our energy towards it then we can achieve anything. This is beautifully captured in these words, and forms the basis for our business name.
Coaching is described as “the art of facilitating the performance, learning and development of another” so when we combine the inner conviction, confidence and belief of taking an ‘I am’ attitude, with the latest coaching tools, techniques and support it will deliver powerful personal, professional and organisational ‘Impact’.

Our Business Philosophy
Our business philosophy is based upon the three pillars of trust as defined in ‘The Trusted Executive’ by John Blakey. We will support executives and teams to achieve superb results through increased ability, develop their relationships with higher levels of integrity and ensure sustainability for their business and wider environment by enhancing their reputation with increased focus on benevolence.
To demonstrate our commitment to this philosophy, I AM Impact will donate a proportion of any annual surplus to recognised charities who support veterans affairs or youth development via sport.

Steve has enjoyed a very fulfilling, challenging and varied career over the last 33 years rising from the shop floor to the board room of large, corporate enterprises in public, private, listed, private equity and owner-managed businesses.
For the last 10 years Steve has had two dreams, one of starting his own business and emulating the many entrepreneurs he has worked with and respected over the years and secondly to pursue his passion and purpose of helping people reach their full potential and achieve their personal and professional goals
